Senior AWS Engineer

GridIron IT is seeking a highly skilled Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to manage, configure, and optimize AWS environments supporting mission-critical workloads. This individual will play a key role in developing and implementing scalable, secure, and automated cloud solutions in line with best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 57 years of experience, Master's with 35 years, or Ph.D. with 02 years in AWS cloud administration, DevOps, or a related IT field. Strong understanding of AWS services, networking, and security concepts. Working knowledge of ECS, EKS, and Helm are required Working knowledge of Docker containers and build processes Strong Linux skills Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform (preferred), CloudFormation, AWS CDK. Familiarity with the Atlassian suite agile methodologies Experience scripting in Python, Bash, or other languages for cloud automation. Proven ability to implement cloud cost optimization and performance tuning. Strong communication and documentation skills. U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

AWS certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional and / or AWS DevOps Professional. Experience working on federal government or highly regulated environments. Background in operational excellence and DevSecOps practices.

Compensation and Benefits : Salary Range : $150,000-170,000 (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.) Gridiron offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), disability & ADD insurance, life and pet insurance to eligible employees. Full-time and part-time employees working at least 30 hours per week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Gridiron's benefits programs.
