Job description

Forensic Outpatient Psychiatrist Locums Job in New York

Details / Requirements :

  • Provide lethality assessments, suicide precautions and forensic evaluations when needed;
  • Ordering laboratory tests or diagnostic assessments, including consultation with medical specialty providers;
  • Perform first aid and medical triage, including initial physical examination on new admissions in the event that a physician is not on site;
  • Provide restraint and seclusion;
  • Provide psychiatric services via Video Teleconference.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Must be physically and mentally capable of discharging all professional responsibilities as provided in this contract
  • Must be Board Certified Child & Adolescent or Adult Psychiatrist or Board Eligible within 3 years of graduating from an accredited training program in psychiatry.
  • Must possess a valid license to practice medicine in New York State
  • Must possess a valid National Provider ID # (NPI)
  • Must possess and maintain a valid DEA
  • Must be able to perform majority of client care functions needed with minimal orientation and supervision
