Position Purpose / Summary :
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for process improvement through systemic problem solving, statistical analysis, Lean Six Sigma principles, and process optimization. This role will focus on data-driven decision-making and continuous process improvements to support the development and sustainment of the X-ray Detectors business unit.
Essential Duties :
- Use systemic problem solving methodologies in conjunction with statistical knowledge to drive continuous improvement, reduce variability, and improve overall yield.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to resolve production issues.
- Work closely with the Quality and management team to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) based on data-driven insights and feedback from customers.
- Support Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and standard work (SW) initiatives to drive waste reduction and efficiency.
- Oversee the performance of processes and tests, then document the results of the process or test.
- Develop, edit, and maintain standard work combination sheets (SW), process flow charts, and value stream maps (VSM).
- Support the incoming quality assurance (IQA) team with resolving non-conforming report (NCR) action items and countermeasures.
- Become a proficient subject matter expert (SME) on the products and processes in the assigned area.
- Become proficient in XRF technologies.
