Description

RCN Capital is seeking a Jr Business Development Associate to help drive growth by identifying new engagement and partnership opportunities within the real estate lending industry. This role involves proactive prospecting, attending industry events and cultivating relationships with existing and potential broker partners. By providing training and support to new and existing partners, the Jr Business Development Associate will play a key role in increasing RCN Capital's origination pipeline and strengthening broker relationships.

Responsibilities :

Industry Engagement & Partner Outreach

  • Represent RCN Capital at a minimum of one industry trade show / event per quarter to prospect for new broker partners, reconnect with existing partners to strengthen relationships and educate wholesale audiences on RCN Capital's products and how they align with their business needs

Broker / Partner Training

  • Plan and deliver customized training sessions at brokerages and partner offices across the U.S., targeting high-potential regions to drive consistent loan origination and long-term business growth.
  • Broker Development & Conversion Optimization

  • Analyze broker performance and engagement trends to identify coaching opportunities that enhance partner effectiveness and increase conversion rates across the sales funnel.
  • Content Creation & Resource Development

  • Develop educational materials including, but not limited to articles, videos, white papers, and presentations that expand RCN Capital's resource library and support broker partners in understanding and promoting our offerings.
  • Process Mapping and Continuous Process Improvement

  • Establish and maintain internal workflows that increase efficiency, enhance team performance and align with departmental and organizational goals. Continuously evaluate and refine these processes to ensure we are responding to evolving business needs.
  • Requirements :

  • Ability to develop a thorough understanding of RCN Capital and RCN's products and ability to think critically about the application of that knowledge
  • Willingness to travel on a regular basis (monthly), locally and nationally, additional travel if desired
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Adapts well to change and performs successfully in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently, follow-through on projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Willingness to learn and ask questions
  • 1-2 years of experience in a professional business development position, or role managing / maintaining partnerships
  • 1-2 years of experience in the real estate lending, mortgage or banking industry preferred
  • Prior use of a CRM (Salesforce) preferred
  • Prior content marketing experience preferred
  • Prior copy writing experience preferred
  • Education :

  • Bachelors degree in Business Management, Finance, Communications, Real Estate, or Marketing required
