Physical Therapist Assistant PTA

Alaris Health at The Chateau – North & South Pavilion, a 251 bed-skilled nursing faciltiy in Rochelle Park, NJ, seeks a physical therapist assistant PTA to implement physical therapy programs and provide treatments to residents to facilitate increased independence and functioning under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Additional responsibilities include :

• implementing residents’ individualized treatment plans as defined by the primary physical therapist
• providing individualized physical therapy treatments that include modalities and exercises
• instructing residents, families and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the physical therapy treatment program under the supervision of the physical therapist
• collaborating with other members of the rehabilitation team to develop programs and activities consistent with the needs and capabilities of each resident
• maintaining appropriate and timely resident and non-resident documentation for all residents treated

PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT PTA JOB REQUIREMENTS :

Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program certified by the American Physical Therapy Association

Licensed as required by the state of New Jersey

Strong organizational, communication and time management skills
