Job description

All Medical Personnel - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Gunnison, Colorado.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliver comprehensive care to patients during labor, delivery, and post-delivery recovery, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Monitor vital signs and observe labor progress, promptly identifying and responding to any complications.
  • Assist physicians and obstetricians with procedures, screenings, and emergency interventions as needed.
  • Provide patient education on childbirth, lactation, and postpartum care to promote healthy outcomes.
  • Offer emotional support and reassurance to mothers and families during a significant life event.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with hospital policies and protocols.

    • Qualifications :

  • Valid and current RN license with specialization or experience in Labor & Delivery nursing.
  • Certifications such as BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) are required.
  • Prior experience in a labor and delivery setting is preferred.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations with poise, compassion, and professionalism.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

    • Additional Notes :

  • A Colorado Adult Protective Services (CAPS) check is required prior to employment.
  • Candidates must have reliable transportation; please note that rural Gunnison does not have public transportation options. Access to a personal vehicle is essential.
