We develop research and insights from the edges of onchain innovation to drive investment thesis and inform CB product strategy, prosecute multiple investment strategies and support our portfolio of over 500 projects around the world.

Job Duties

Lead investments end to end from thesis development, category mapping, sourcing, evaluating, closing and supporting. Publish thought leadership and serve as subject matter expert in one or more technical domains (e.g., DeFi) for Ventures and CB Exec. Drive novel onchain strategies and support liquid portfolio management. Drive topical special projects to inform CB product strategy and / or upgrade the Coinbase Ventures platform ("firm building")

Job Requirements

Minimum of 7 years work experience with significant tour of duty at at top tier firm / company. Deep passion and demonstrated expertise in one or more onchain domains (e.g., DeFi). You live onchain. Developed long-term oriented investment judgement and critical reasoning. Excellent analytic, problem solving, and communication skills coupled with a strong work ethic. Excellent founder facing "UX" : clear comms, responsiveness, empathy, bedside manner. BA / BS degree.
