About The Position

ICU RN

Profession : Registered Nurse

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : Minimum 2 Years Required

License : Current RN License Required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Required

Must-Have : Cerner Experience

Pulmonary Artery Line / Swan Ganz Monitoring Experience

Continuous IV Sedation and Procedural Sedation Administration Experience

Description :

The position requires an ICU RN for a nighttime shift.

Every other weekend shifts are required.

The unit manages critically ill medical patients with various diagnoses, including neurological, orthopedic, psychiatric, and renal emergencies.

Procedures performed may include bedside bronchoscopy, chest tube insertion, EGDs, colonoscopy, and central / arterial line insertions.

Spinal taps and tracheostomies may also be part of the responsibilities.

The clinician is expected to float within the scope to meet facility needs.

Blocked schedule requests can be accommodated.

Candidates should have experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias.

Knowledge of invasive hemodynamic monitoring, including Swan Ganz and CRRT, is necessary.

Experience in managing continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation administration, and ICP monitoring is essential.

The daily patient ratio and census will reflect the needs of the unit.

Interdisciplinary support includes teams for IV, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, and pharmacy, among others.

The candidate must possess strong skills in managing complex patient cases and provide high-quality care.
