Job description

LanceSoft is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Albany, Georgia.

Job Description & Requirements

  • Specialty : Registered Respiratory Therapist

  • Duration : 17 weeks
  • 36 hours per week
  • Shift : 12 hours, days
  • Employment Type : Travel

Requirements : (Friday–Sunday, 7a–7p (start times 6 : 45a / 6 : 45p, clock-in 6 : 38–6 : 46))

  • Experience :

    • Minimum 2 years of critical care experience

  • Minimum 1 prior travel contract
  • Experience in hospitals with 300+ beds
  • Certifications :

    • RRT (Required)

  • GA State License
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS
  • NRP if assigned to NICU
  • Skills :

    • Comfortable with intubation and airway management

  • Able to manage high workload and heavy patient volume
  • Charge RT responsibilities, including clinical coordination

    • Patient & Unit Details

  • Types of Patients : Adults, pediatrics; NICU RTs report to NICU nursing manager
  • Patient Load : Approx. 13–15 patients / shift, ~550 minutes per shift, ~15 minutes per treatment
  • Common Conditions : COPD, CHF, pneumonia, respiratory failure, ARDS, cancers, etc.
  • Vent Equipment : Servo vents (U and I models)
  • Hospital Support : Hospitalist or Intensivist in-house 24 / 7 (MDs or NPs), pharmacy 24 / 7

    • Duties

  • Nebulizations, airway management, vapotherm, BiPAP, CPAP
  • Ventilator management
  • ABG collection and interpretation
  • Bedside PFTs, CPT
  • ICU-specific : placing A-lines, bronchoscopy, intubation, ventilator adjustments, alerting critical values

    • Schedule & Holidays

  • Weekend Coverage : Work assigned based on M–Th or F–Sun team
  • Holidays : Rotated with permanent staff; expect every other holiday
  • Call : None
  • Floating : Not required
