Job Overview :

We are seeking a detail-oriented GIS Specialist to join the Atlanta Field Team, supporting field data collection and assisting in electric distribution design. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity, offering hands-on experience and a strong foundation for future career growth.

Key Responsibilities :

Conduct in-field GIS data collection and make informed design recommendations based on collected data.

Spend approximately 85% of work time in the field under various environmental conditions.

Utilize a telescoping Hasting stick and digital measuring tools to gather data on electric utility infrastructure.

Use proprietary software to input field data, update the utilitys GIS system, and support design decisions.

Safely manage field equipment and potentially retain a rental vehicle for extended use.

Travel primarily within the Atlanta area and surrounding regions, with occasional travel across Georgia, including possible overnight stays.

Participate in emergency storm response efforts as required throughout the year.

Qualifications :

Experience with Esris ArcGIS suite or similar GIS software is preferred.

Previous fieldwork experience is desirable.

Ability to work independently in diverse outdoor environments for extended periods.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Comfortable using measuring equipment, including a Hasting stick.
