ROLE SUMMARY

To provide educational opportunities where students may fulfill their potential for intellectual emotional physical and psychological growth in a standard classroom or Montessori setting; and to provide instruction that will result in students achieving academic success in accordance with Cincinnati Public Schools standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / SKILLS :

• Plans for and guides the learning process to help students achieve state standards.
• Must be able to verbally & physically interact with students as needed.
• Maintains a classroom atmosphere which is safe and conducive to learning.
• Establishes a professional relationship with all assigned students.
• Maintains an open line of communication with parents / guardians using the tools provided by the district including but not limited to PowerSchool and Cognos.
• Maintains a professional demeanor with students parents coworkers and administration.
• Work experience with children in a multi-ethnic situation preferred.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES :

QUALIFICATIONS

Education : Minimum Bachelors degree or higher in secondary or elementary education from an accredited college or university.

Licensure : Ohio Teacher license appropriate for subject(s) and grade levels taught.

CONTRACT PROVISIONS

Contract Provisions : 191 days Limited Contract

Salary : Certificated Classroom Teacher per CFT Cincinnati Federation of Teachers (CFT) agreement
