Certified Coding Specialist

A company is looking for a Coding Specialist III - Outpatient Hospital Based Clinic (Part-time). Key Responsibilities Code retrospective outpatient accounts using ICD-10 CM and CPT in compliance with official guidelines Accurately identify diagnoses, procedures, and abstract required data elements to support medical necessity Review accounts in denial work queues, make recommendations, and mentor / train on designated coding service lines Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent 3 years of acute hospital-based coding experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Relevant coding certifications (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCS, COC, CPC, CPC-H, CIRCC) Expert level knowledge of coding guidelines and practices Experience working in a remote environment preferred for PRN Coders
