The Producer performs newscast producer duties as well as special projects related to news content across all media platforms and line produces as needed on live newscasts.

WXIN (Fox59) / WTTV (CBS4) in the Indianapolis, Indiana market is seeking a newscast producer with the skills and instinct to craft energetic and dynamic newscasts. The ideal candidate has proven strong performance in breaking news and severe weather situations. They will be a solid writer, capable of transforming sound, video, and graphic elements into compelling newscasts from start to finish. The candidate will also recognize the importance of contributing digital content and engaging viewers through social media.

Requirements & Skills

• Write solid, active, and compelling news copy
• Build strong newscasts using informed news judgment and showcasing techniques
• Strategize newscast construction based on audience knowledge, ratings, and regional history
• Quickly adjust newscasts to accommodate breaking news
• Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills
• Coordinate with the digital team to contribute content across platforms
• Meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple assignments simultaneously
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Flexible to work any shift
