Primary Purpose :
The job of Special Education PPCD Paraprofessional is done for the purpose / s of providing support to
PreK or PPCD classrooms. The paraprofessional will be working in a general education and / or special
education setting providing support to special education students. The job entails documenting student
behavior, student progress on goals and objectives, monitoring student in classrooms, assisting teacher at
provide for physical and instructional needs of students with disabilities in special education / general
education setting. Assist in implementation of classroom programs, including self-help, behavior
management, and instruction programs. Work under general supervision of principal and immediate
direction of certified teacher.
Qualifications :
Education / Certification :
High school diploma
Valid Texas educational aide certificate or willingness to obtain certificate
(at applicant's expense) within 30 days of employment
Any applicant for paraprofessional jobs who is recommended for hire in Magnolia ISD and hasn't obtained a minimum of 48 college hours will have to pass a paraprofessional assessment exam which consists of reading, writing and mathematics.

Participation in Crisis Intervention Strategies with students in a crisis situation. Be able to lift at least 40
pounds.
