Optical Engineer III

A company is looking for an Optical Engineer III.

Key Responsibilities

Lead remote turn-up, testing, and provisioning of optical network elements

Direct field technicians to execute optical testing and validate engineering requirements

Coordinate with various teams to resolve test failures and ensure traffic readiness

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Optical Transport Engineering, Field Testing, or Remote Provisioning

Strong knowledge of Ciena RLS platforms and related optical technologies

Hands-on proficiency with remote testing tools and network management systems

Basic understanding of optical span design and fiber infrastructure fundamentals

Competency in MOP / EDP creation and validation for optical routes
