Aerospace Assembler
Perform repetitive assembly operations to mass-produce commercial aircraft interior components, specifically premium class furniture for commercial aircraft. Work within the time constraints of the master production schedule and meet requirements dictated by the customer.
Responsibilities include :
Perform repetitive assembly operations for commercial aircraft interior components.
Work within the time constraints of the master production schedule.
Meet customer requirements.
Read and interpret detailed blueprints and engineering drawings.
Follow installation procedures as per blueprint and engineering requirements.
Mix and apply adhesives according to manufacturers specifications.
Apply silicone sealant per requirements.
Place parts in specified relationships to each other.
Verify unit dimensions before installing inserts, rivets, blind nuts, blocks, angles, doublers, and fittings.
Attach parts together using bonding, screwing, riveting, or other methods.
Drill, countersink, and rivet metal or sheet metal parts as required.
Install attachment fittings, as assigned.
Prepare and organize tools and parts for use in the manufacturing area.
Requisition parts as needed from the stockroom.
Ensure work orders and traceability books are maintained and completed throughout the manufacturing cycle.
Maintain safe and effective use of all machine and hand tools.
Ensure a safe work environment.
Report any defects to quality assurance and manufacturing engineers.
Promote cooperation and positive communication with co-workers.
Pick up and remove scrap from work areas.
Clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
Essential skills include :
At least 1 year of assembly experience.
Ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints and engineering drawings.
Experience with power tools and hand tools.
Mechanical skills and production experience.
Additional skills and qualifications include :
Experience with mixing and applying adhesives.
Knowledge of installing attachment fittings.
Ability to maintain work orders and traceability books.
Experience in promoting cooperation and positive communication in a team environment.

Work in a very large, clean manufacturing environment. The company manufactures products for the interiors of Boeing 737 aircrafts, including galleys, closets, lavatories, floor panels, class dividers, and sidewalls.

Pay and Benefits :
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
