$18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Patient Care Technician - Emergency Department-Night
Position Highlights
- Position : Patient Care Technician
- Location : Glenbrook Hospital
- Full-time : 32 hours per week
- Hours : night shift(11pm-7 : 30am), w / rotating weekends
What You Will Do
Perform a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of nursing staff.Maintain visual, auditory, and manual attention throughout the shift.Utilize manual dexterity for sustained periods of time.Assess patients and read / record information accurately in charts.Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare team members, and coworkers-often while all parties are masked.Work safely in environments that may include exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, chemicals, and other hazards.Manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet patient care needs.Use appropriate patient movement equipment for non-emergency lifts and transfers.In urgent situations, may need to assist with lifting up to 50 pounds.Wear required PPE, including N95 mask or PAPR, when applicable.Perform frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting throughout the shift.What You Will Need
Eligibility to work in the U.S.Completion of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training course preferred.Completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical nursing preferred.Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association (must be obtained within 90 days of hire if not current).Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.Ability to prioritize and follow through on instructions.Basic computer skills.Benefits (for Full-Time and Part-Time Positions)
