About The Position

Job Title : Charge NICU RN

Profession : Registered Nurse

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night 3x12-Hour; Day 3x12-Hour

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum 2 years of Charge experience

License : Active RN license

Certifications : BLS, NRP

Must-Have :

Level 3 or 4 NICU skills

Charge RN experience

Delivery and Resuscitation experience

Description :

First-time travelers are welcome.

The position will float between units as needed.

On-call duties are required during standby when not needed on the unit.

Variable and rotating weekends are required.

Block schedules are not needed.

Expected patient ratios are 1 : 3.

All hours logged as Charge will be paid at the applicable Charge pay bump rate.

Must have a vehicle for this assignment.

Travelers may be required to float to other units based on their skill sets.

Experience with premature infants greater than 28 weeks gestation and term infants requiring medical care is essential.

Special equipment includes Alaris pumps, feeding pumps, and ventilators.

This is a Level 3 NICU position; Level 2 experience may be considered depending on qualifications.

The ability to assist in maternity care may be requested if necessary.

Interdisciplinary support is provided by IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.

The daily patient census is typically around 9 with a total of 19 beds in the unit.

Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment.

Travelers must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays.

Please limit time-off requests to minimize turnaround time.

References are required covering relevant experience.

Candidates may float between facilities nearby as needed during the contract period.
