The Serve fleet has been delighting merchants, customers, and pedestrians along the way in Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas, Atlanta and Chicago while doing commercial deliveries. We're looking for talented individuals who will grow robotic deliveries from surprising novelty to efficient ubiquity.

Serve Robotics is seeking a highly driven and execution-focused Regional Operations Manager, North Region to lead day-to-day operations across our Northern markets. The preferred candidate for this role would be located in the Chicago metro area. In this role, you will manage a team of 5-8 exempt leaders, oversee market performance, operational safety, own the region's full P&L, and deliver delight to customers who are serviced by our autonomous delivery robots in your region. Your success will directly impact fleet reliability, customer satisfaction, and bottom-line results.
We're looking for a proven leader with strong operational instincts, a bias for action, and the ability to inspire and develop a front-line team while making data-informed decisions in a high-growth, fast-moving environment. This leader will be pivotal in building and executing the operational processes that disrupt the massive last mile delivery industry.
Job Duties
Team Leadership & Development
- Directly manage and coach a team of 5-8 salaried station leaders across multiple sites and regions in a 24 / 7 environment
- Set clear expectations, monitor KPIs, and provide regular feedback to promote accountability, safety, and high performance
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and workforce planning to ensure optimal staffing and morale
- Foster a culture of teamwork, ownership, and continuous improvement
Regional Operations Execution
Lead the successful execution of daily robot operations, including dispatch, maintenance, and field responseMonitor service levels and coordinate cross-functionally to quickly resolve disruptions or escalationsMaintain strict compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standardsOwn all local SOPs and ensure consistent application across your teamsDrive continuous improvement initiatives to the key safety, quality and cost business pillarsP&L Ownership & Market Performance
Manage the full regional P&L, including labor cost, vendor spend, asset utilization, and site-level efficienciesAnalyze trends, identify operational bottlenecks, and implement cost-effective solutions that scaleForecast and manage budgets in alignment with company goalsReport on regional performance to leadership, with actionable plans for improvementExperience, Qualifications, & Skills
Required Experience, Qualifications, and Skills
5+ years in field operations, logistics, manufacturing, or related industries with multi-site or team leadershipExperience directly managing multiple facilities and exempt leaders, preferably in 24 / 7 or shift-based environmentsStrong financial acumen with demonstrated P&L responsibility and budget managementExceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skillsComfort with operational tools and dashboards; familiarity with BI platforms, spreadsheets, and scheduling toolsAbility to thrive in ambiguity and scale systems and processes in a fast-evolving operationStrong analytical skills; proficient in Google Sheets, Jira, and ThoughtSpot (or equivalent BI tools)Experience designing and improving operational processes using data and stakeholder inputFamiliarity with change management and document control practices in operational or technical environmentsAbility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed based on operational demandsPreferred Experience, Qualifications, and Skills
Background in robotics, mobility, last-mile delivery, ecommerce warehousing, or field service operationsAdvanced degree in Business, Operations, Analytics, Supply Chain Management or a related fieldContinuous improvement and lean six sigma experience in a fast paced start up environmentAdditional Information
Travel to all sites in the region supported once a quarter is expected.Candidate is expected to live in market and be onsite at a depot 50% of the time.
