ICU Registered Nurse Job Details Location : Washington, DC 20010 (ideal for nurses seeking Washington, DC healthcare jobs) Unit : 3G Neuro Trauma ICU Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Start Date : November 24, 2025 End Date : February 23, 2026 Duration : 13-week contract Shift : 4x12-hour shifts / week, primarily days (07 : 00 - 19 : 00); up to two weeks of nights possible per six-week schedule Hours per Week : 36 Patient Ratio : 1 : 2 Scrub Color : Ceil blue Flu Vaccine : Required (no exemptions) Estimated Weekly Salary : $1650 - $1770 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active DC RN license (pending accepted with proof; must have in hand by start date) Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience (travel nurses welcome) Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (CCRN preferred) Proficiency with conscious sedation, ICP monitoring, ventilators, and EVDs Preferred : Level 1 trauma experience, pulmonary artery lines, IV starts, phlebotomy, Cerner charting Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity Two supervisor references required Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) ICU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care in the Neuro Trauma ICU for patients with SAH, ICH, ischemic stroke, brain mass, and head trauma Operate and manage specialized equipment : EVDs, Raumedic Bolt, Artic Sun, CVVH, lytic catheters, Flo-tracker, PA catheters Assist with procedures such as arterial line management, chest tube insertion / removal, and phlebotomy Administer blood products and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips Interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias Implement infection prevention and isolation protocols Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams : IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services Float to other ICUs / IMC as needed Complete orientation and required modules prior to start Apply now to join our Washington, DC healthcare team as a Neuro Trauma ICU Registered Nurse and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
