About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : 2 years of RN experience in Med / Surg with a solid PCU foundation

License : Wisconsin State License or Compact

Certifications : BLS

Must-Have : Charge experience preferred; 2 years of Med / Surg experience; ability to care for all acuity types

Description :

Bedside Shift Reporting, utilization of AIDET, and hourly rounding are required for this unit.

Barcode scanning must be 95% to be eligible for an extension.

Less than 95% could result in cancellation.

ASAP start required for 17 weeks, working 36 hours per week.

The schedule includes 3 nights per week from 18 : 30 to 07 : 00.

Call is required as needed.

Floating within the facility is required.

Holidays are mandatory; specific requests for time off during holidays are not accepted.

The candidate needs a solid PCU foundation for success in a blended unit.

Occasional ICU / PCU patients may be present on this unit.

The RN will be required to care for all acuity types.

BLS is required by the start date.

RNs will be expected to sign an attestation confirming their awareness of the above requirements.

The unit supports interdisciplinary collaboration, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.

Patient populations include adults and geriatrics with diagnoses in medical cardiac, respiratory, orthopedic, and general surgery.

Candidates are required to provide appropriate references.

Certifications are required to be completed before the start date.

All requirement compliance must be met in a timely manner.
