Shepherd's underwriting approach will be client-centric with a heavy emphasis on an efficient process. Our goal will be to leverage our technology and data to make quick, informed, underwriting decisions tailored to our client's specific needs.
Responsibilities
- Apply a client-centric underwriting approach and leverage technology and data to enable quick, informed decisions tailored to client needs.
- Engage in marketing, producer management, new business development, and negotiate with internal and external partners at all levels.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure effective teamwork, clear communication, and strong negotiation outcomes.
- Perform risk analysis with a solid background in construction and / or casualty underwriting.
- Maintain knowledge of compliance, coverage, products, and pricing strategies.
- Adapt and stay creative in a fast-paced startup environment.
Qualifications / Experience
Strong background in risk analysis and underwriting, with experience in construction and / or casualty lines.Proven ability to market, manage producers, develop new business, and negotiate with partners.Excellent teamwork, communication, and negotiation skills.Knowledge of compliance, coverage, products, and pricing strategies.Location
This is an onsite position in our New York City, San Francisco, or Dallas Fort Worth offices.
