SealMaster Buffalo is seeking a hands-on, mechanically inclined professional to join our team as a Mechanic . This position is ideal for someone with foundational mechanical or fabrication experience who takes pride in working with their hands, solving problems, and keeping equipment running at its best. The right candidate will have exposure to welding or fabrication, a curiosity to learn more, and the drive to grow into a key technical role within a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on asphalt sealing, crack-filling, and pavement maintenance equipment .
- Diagnose and troubleshoot basic mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
- Assist with the fabrication, modification, and welding of tanks, trailers, and other shop equipment.
- Maintain shop organization, safety standards, and equipment cleanliness.
- Support loading and unloading of materials and assist customers as needed.
- Operate forklifts, lifts, and small equipment safely and responsibly.
- Follow preventive maintenance schedules and maintain accurate service records.
- Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and safety.
Qualifications
- 25 years of mechanical experience in an industrial, automotive, agricultural, or construction setting.
- Basic proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Welding experience (MIG or stick) strongly preferred; fabrication experience a plus.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs. and perform physical work in outdoor and shop environments.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.
- Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow within the company.
