PRN Nurse

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated PRN Registered Nurse to join our rapidly growing, independent Ambulatory Surgery Center Team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care in a fast-paced environment, and possess a background in the peri-operative setting. Our available hours are on surgery days between Monday and Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the peri-operative setting of an ASC
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor and record patient vital signs
• Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures in a surgical setting
• Educate patients and their families during their care in the surgical setting

Experience

Required Skills :

RN experience in pre-op, operating room (OR), or PACU preferred, but will train the right candidate

Able to multitask in a very fast-paced environment

BLS & ACLS preferred.

PALS Certification (or willingness to obtain) is strongly desired.

Qualifications

RN License

BLS Certification

ACLS Certification preferred

PALS Certification strongly desired

Experience in Pre-op and PACU

Medication administration proficiency

IV insertion

Ability to assess patient and provide appropriate care as directed

Knowledge of Ophthalmic surgical procedures a plus

Knowledge of Dental surgical procedures a plus

Knowledge of Pain Management surgical procedures a plus

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to assist anesthesia as needed

Pay : $32.00 - $35.00 per hour
