Security Sergeant

The Security Sergeant will perform a variety of security and safety related functions while involved in the safeguarding of employees, patients, visitors, physicians and property.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

• Will provide supervision, leadership, and oversight for assigned shift
• Will coordinate with Director to resolve shift, patrol routes, employee issues & scheduling
• Directs visitors, patients, vendors to correct locations; distributes passes
• Performs unit / building clock tours daily
• Conducts security rounds for safety violations
• Reports all hazardous conditions to the proper departments
• Monitors cameras / alarms at command posts
• Investigates all (police type) incident reports
• Performs other duties as assigned.
