Position Summary & Purpose
The Capital Markets Investment Banking Vice President / Director is responsible for managing and executing capital raising transactions for clients in various industries. This role involves working to execute and manage a variety of financing transactions, including public and private equity offerings, debt financings, and other capital market transactions. The person will work closely with the entire capital markets team and will regularly interact with investment, finance, operations, and legal professionals as well as senior management within Cabrera Capital Markets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for cultivating client relationships through regular communication and meetings
Work closely with senior bankers to develop financing strategies for clients
Analyze industry and market trends to identify optimal funding opportunities
Prepare pitch books, offering memoranda, and other marketing materials for client presentations
Oversee due diligence processes and coordinate with legal, accounting, and other advisors
Independently lead and manage the execution of capital raising transactions
Maintain and strengthen client relationships
Attend various events during non-business hours on behalf of Cabrera to network and cultivate business relationships
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Stay updated on regulatory requirements and market developments affecting capital markets
Ensure that all client needs are consistently met and strive to exceed client expectations
All other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in investment banking or related field
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
FINRA SIE, Series 7, Series 79, and Series 63 licenses required (or within 5 months of hire)
Strong knowledge of capital markets and financing transactions
Proven track record of successfully executing capital raising transactions
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Suite : Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and presentation skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
Must be highly organized and demonstrate a strong attention to detail
