Med / Surg RN Job Details – Parkersburg, WV Location : Parkersburg, West Virginia 26101 (West Virginia nursing jobs) Unit : 4N Ortho-Neuro (Medical Surgical Unit) Assignment Length : 13-week travel contract Shift : 12-hour days (07 : 00-19 : 30), rotating weekends and holidays Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,820 - $1,950 per week Start Date : November 24, 2025 Charting System : EPIC EMR Dress Code : Royal Blue Scrubs Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia or compact state BLS certification (AHA required) Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience Experience with orthopedic patients and PCA pumps Proficiency with EPIC charting system Ability to float to other Medical Surgical units as needed Must submit an unexpired driver's license with application Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients recovering from elective orthopedic surgeries (hips, knees, shoulders), fractures, and neuro-surgeries Manage patient assignments with a 1 : 6 nurse-to-patient ratio Administer IV fluids and operate PCA pumps Collaborate with Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) and multidisciplinary healthcare teams Participate in rotating weekend and holiday coverage Complete accurate documentation using EPIC EMR Float to other Med / Surg units as required Follow unit dress code and hospital policies Join our healthcare team in Parkersburg, WV and make a difference in patient care.
