The Director Business Development for our Data Center (DTC) group, is responsible for co-developing and executing the DTC BD / Sales strategy with an emphasis on business development, pipeline management and leading the tier one key account management programs. Works to measure and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for the global and regional DTC business focusing on return-on-investment parameters, win and capture rates, and effective and efficient expenditure of BD funds. Develops and maintains tier one Key Account DTC customers and regional customers through appropriate behavior, ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
In partnership with the Senior Vice President, Data Centers, develops the overall strategy for business development and sales for the DTC US-based business.Continues to refine our regional sales strategy and is responsible for training the operations resources on sales platform implementation.Monitors strict adherence to the sales platform and quickly engages to fix non-compliance while ensuring business development KPIs are managed and achieved.Leads and is primarily responsible for growing the Data Center Tier 1 accounts.Coordinates with DTC Leadership to ensure that the work sold is resourced appropriately to ensure success throughout the lifecycle of the engagement (projects and programs).Collaborates with DTC regional marketing departments and resources to ensure that the business development and sales collateral is regularly updated, and our messaging and brand is aligned for proposals, presentations, professional conferences, and other related engagements.Leads the DTC Technology Management SMEs to develop and implement client solutions and strategies encompass new and cutting-edge technologies, alternate go-to market services and alternate business models.Establishes rapport with both DTC regional team by reflecting the DTC vision, building consensus of things to focus on and accomplish, and encouraging employees to progress.Executes sales plan, delivers on business goals, and implements proactive change to improve sales performance and customer service.Shows initiative, personal commitment, courage, and most important accountability to commitments.Provides inputs for proposal development and coordinates with the RBU leads in developing proposal materials in partnership with planning, estimating, operations staff, and inside sales teams.Represents the company at key industry functions and networks.Frequent travel is required.Relocation to support responsibilities may be required and will be negotiated at such time as deemed necessary.Other duties as assigned.Show your expertise
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or related field required15+ years’ experienceStrong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levelsDemonstrated commitment to customer serviceResults driven with proven sales track record in the Data Center construction industryAbility in problem-solving and negotiationAble to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficientlyExcellent organizational skillsKnowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Prior experience in the Data Center Construction and / or Engineering industry is requiredPrior sales leadership experience is requiredApplicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor an employment visa at this time.
