Job Title : Senior Data Engineer – Healthcare Domain

Location : Remote (Based in NYC, NY)

Duration : Contract

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong experience in healthcare data and cloud-based big data technologies. This role involves designing scalable data pipelines, optimizing data systems, and leading cross-functional data initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures.
  • Lead data engineering projects and enforce best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet data requirements.
  • Optimize data systems for analytics, reporting, and performance.
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and compliance in production environments.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years in :

    • Python, PySpark, and SQL for big data processing.

  • Data lakes (Iceberg format), ETL (Informatica), and data quality frameworks.
  • AWS services : S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, EMR, Airflow, Postgres.
  • BASH / Shell scripting.
  • Proven experience with healthcare data and leading data teams.
  • Agile development experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
