Job description
MAIN RESPONSIBILITY : The Payroll Administrator will process payroll, maintain employee time records for the payroll department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Records, maintains, and update payroll procedures; may include employee’s hourly rates, salaries, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information.
Maintains records for Garnishments, sets up deduction in payroll software, and communication with the courts.
Produce quarterly and year end payroll reports
Help staff with PTO accruals, wage deductions, fringe benefits, general questions related to payroll, and other pay-related issues
Abide with current payroll tax requirements and relevant laws associated with the processing of employee wage data, including payroll taxes, employee federal and state income and social security taxes and other required reporting
Manage regular payroll reporting as required and assist with financial audits related to pay records and associated general ledgers
Review data entries made by others in the time clock software and payroll software to include, but not limited to hours and PTO codes, salary / wage increases, benefit deductions, employee termination dates, and employee leaves of absence under FMLA or other unpaid leave
Ensures and reconciles proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, charitable contributions, and other deductions.
Warrant timely processing of payroll in accordance with labor regulations and standard accounting principals
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supports and furthers Finance Department initiatives, Aunt Millie’s Core Values and other Company initiatives as assigned
Participates in development / improvement training per Finance Performance Directives

EDUCATION :
High school diploma or equivalent required
EXPERIENCE :
Practical experience in HRIS system and high proficiency with spreadsheets
Union payroll experience required
Understanding of TCP and UKG Pro a Plus
CPP or FPC desired
SKILLS :
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll software.
WORKING CONDITIONS :
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
