Job Title : Tooling Engineer
Duration : 12+ Months Contract
Position Overview : Our client is seeking a highly experienced Tooling Engineer with 10 to 15 years of hands-on expertise in Injection Molding Tooling. The ideal candidate will take a technical lead role in designing molds, driving tooling improvements, and supporting manufacturing processes including molding, high-speed assembly, warehouse automation, and AMRs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and engineer moderately complex tooling for molds, jigs, and fixtures to align with product specifications.
- Conduct and contribute to design reviews and perform Design for Manufacturability (DFM) evaluations.
- Support mold validation activities and lead troubleshooting for tooling-related issues.
- Recommend and implement cost-effective design changes to enhance tool performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for qualification, sampling, and final part approval.
- Prepare and deliver timely status updates in alignment with project schedules.
- Maintain documentation and ensure proper upkeep of tooling and related equipment in the tool room.
