Accounting Clerk

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support our finance team in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will handle vital accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities :

• Process and verify accounts payable invoices, ensuring accurate matching to purchase orders.
• Perform account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Apply customer payments and manage cash applications as needed.
• Set up new vendor accounts and update vendor information within the accounting system.
• Review and resolve vendor issues in a timely manner.
• Sort, organize, and save financial documents for easy accessibility and recordkeeping.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and supporting data for internal use.
• Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits.
• Contribute to identifying opportunities for process improvements and workflow enhancements.
• Perform other accounting tasks as assigned to support team operations.

Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

• Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
• Experience in invoice processing and reconciliation.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with team members and external vendors.
• Proficiency in basic Excel operations for tracking and reporting.
• Willingness to adapt and step in to assist team members when needed.
