Licensed Clinical Social Worker Position Overview seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide clinical and supportive services to military Veterans. The LCSW will work directly with Veterans participating in the Organization programs, supporting mental health, emotional well-being, and successful integration with service dogs and supportive services. This role is ideal for a clinician passionate about Veteran care, trauma-informed practice, and holistic, mission-driven work. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Services Provide individual clinical assessments, treatment planning, and therapeutic services to Veterans Deliver evidence-based, trauma-informed mental health interventions Address issues including PTSD, anxiety, depression, adjustment challenges, and life transitions Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation Veteran Support & Advocacy Support Veterans throughout their participation in the Organization programs Collaborate with service dog trainers and program staff to support Veteran success Advocate for Veterans’ needs and connect them with community and VA resources Provide psychoeducation to Veterans and their families when appropriate Collaboration & Program Support Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including trainers, program coordinators, and leadership Participate in case consultations and team meetings Assist in program development, evaluations, and outcome tracking Uphold the mission, values, and ethical standards of the Organization Required Skills & Qualifications: Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program Active and unrestricted Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license Experience working with military Veterans and/or trauma-affected populations Knowledge of Veteran-specific mental health concerns and resources Strong clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a nonprofit setting Preferred Qualifications Experience working with PTSD, military trauma, or combat-related stress Familiarity with service dog programs or animal-assisted interventions Experience with VA systems or Veteran service organizations Bilingual abilities a plus Core Competencies Trauma-informed and Veteran-centered care Cultural competence related to military service Ethical clinical practice and confidentiality Strong organizational and documentation skills Compassion, empathy, and professionalism Physical Demands & Work Environment: Able to operate standard office equipment. Professional office environment, with dogs, dog dander and animal hair Daily physical activity requires standing, walking, sitting, bending, extensive use of hands, talking and listening for extended periods, and occasionally driving facility vehicles. This is a full-time, onsite, position that requires flexibility. A typical work week will be 40 hours and may include weekends and evenings. Required attendance at events and/or emergencies may require longer hours or evening work. Pay Range (DOE) $80,000 - $100,000 yearly
