Locums Child / Adolescent Psychiatrist - GA

Need Psychiatrist for Locums coverage for Child and Adolescent services both inpatient and ambulatory for 3-5 months, starting as soon as credentialed

Location : Columbus, GA

Reason for Coverage : Provider departure, Long term permanent search

Setting : Outpatient & Inpatient

Coverage : Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call (beeper)

Hours : M-F Clinic 8am-noon; 1pm-5pm rounding

Start Date : ASAP

End Date : Ongoing

Call schedule i.e. 1 : 2 weekday and 1 : 3 weekend; option for additional Adult call as well

Call back % 99% TC only call back

Client is open to a flexible schedule or job share with another provider

EMR : Cerner

Support staff : RN, CMA, CM, ancillary office staff

Board certification required

Certifications required : BLS

Emergency privileges available

Patients per day : OP 8-12, IP 6-10

# IP beds : 16

# admissions per day : 3-5

Time allotted for new evaluations? 50 minutes

Time allotted for follow ups? 30 minutes

Locums cover history and physicals

Additional responsibilities : telemedicine, consults, H&P, resident shadowing

Safety / security measures : Trained, 24 / 7 security, PPE readily available, CDC infection control guidelines in place, testing of all BH IP

Scope of Practice :

Outpatient : Office / clinic

Inpatient : Acute psychiatric unit

sub-acute unit / residential Tx.; crisis stabilization unit

Clinical Areas : Anxiety disorders

Affective disorder

ADD / ADHD

Personality disorders

Development disorders is at provider discretion

Psychotic disorders
