GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Registered Dietitian plans nutritional programs and provides education to assist in the promotion of health and management of disease. The Registered Dietitian complies with the applicable standards for diabetes education set forth by BCHC and the American Association of Diabetes Educators.

EDUCATION & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Dietetics / Food and Nutrition from an accredited program.

Registered Dietitian in the State of Iowa.

Active registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

2-3 years of experience in an acute care or long-term care setting.

Knowledge of modern principles and practices in dietetics.

Experience with Diabetes management.

Experience with electronic medical records preferred.

Personal cleanliness and freedom from communicable disease.

Salary Range

$30.58 - $42.81
