Experience in decontamination and disinfection

Experience with sterile processing microsystem (SPM)

Experience with specialty equipment processing

Description :

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the cleaning, decontamination, inspection, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.

Must be proficient in aseptic technique and organized in managing case carts and instrument trays.

Requires understanding of proper sterilization wrapping procedures and documentation practices.

Familiarity with processing endoscopes and specialty equipment is essential.

Candidate should demonstrate a high level of attention to detail in sterilization monitoring and testing.

Ability to collaboratively work with team members and support patient care needs in a fast-paced environment is crucial.

Weekend day shift coverage is required, with on-call duties rotating.

The technician will also engage in preference card management and proper selection of wrapping materials.

Must comply with safety protocols regarding chemical indicators and biological indicators.

Position involves efficient organization in placing instruments on trays and ensuring all equipment is properly labeled.
