Job description

As the Director of Brand Design at Fluent, you will lead the development and stewardship of our brand identity while producing high-quality creative deliverables across channels. This role combines brand leadership with hands-on design execution, you’ll shape the long-term direction of our brand, then bring it to life through thoughtful, consistent, and impactful design work. This is both a strategic and executional role, ideal for a designer who thrives at the intersection of vision and craft.

You will partner closely with Marketing, Product, and Sales to ensure Fluent’s brand is differentiated, cohesive, and scalable. This role requires deep B2B marketing experience, building brands that speak to business decision-makers with clarity, sophistication, and credibility. You will also provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, helping elevate the overall creative output of the team.

What You’ll Do :

Brand Direction & Strategy

  • Maintain, evolve, and iterate on Fluent’s brand identity, voice, and visual systems with a strong B2B lens.
  • Establish and update brand guidelines that support consistency and scalability across teams.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure brand direction aligns with company strategy and B2B market positioning.
  • Identify opportunities to modernize and innovate how the brand engages with business audiences.

Creative Asset Development

  • Design and produce marketing assets including B2B campaign creative (email, social, paid media, content marketing), website visuals, and demand-gen collateral.
  • Develop sales enablement and thought-leadership materials tailored to enterprise and business audiences.
  • Build creative concepts for campaigns that drive awareness, trust, and conversions in a B2B context.
  • Collaborate with copywriters, marketers, and video partners to deliver cohesive narratives.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Mentor junior designers, providing clear feedback, growth opportunities, and creative direction.
  • Help shape workflows and set standards that raise the quality bar across the design team.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that balances creative exploration with delivery at speed.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as the creative and brand partner across Marketing, Product, and other teams as needed.
  • Translate strategic business objectives into brand and design solutions that resonate with B2B audience
  • Provide brand education and guidance, helping stakeholders apply guidelines effectively.
  • Confidently articulate design rationale and creative decisions to cross-functional partners and leadership.
  • Design Systems & Workflow

  • Develop scalable templates, design systems, and creative processes that improve speed and consistency.
  • Manage design intake and execution using Asana and other management tools to maintain visibility and accountability.
  • Continuously refine QA, feedback loops, and creative workflows to maximize output quality.
  • Requirements

  • 8 - 10 years of experience in B2B marketing and brand design, ideally in high-growth environments.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing both strategic brand systems and high-quality design execution across B2B campaigns.
  • Experience managing and mentoring junior designers, with a leadership style that is collaborative, clear, and supportive.
  • Expert in professional design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, with strong ability to create scalable, marketing- ready assets in Google Slides and Canva.
  • Experience leveraging HubSpot for campaign and asset deployment, and Asana (or similar) for creative workflow management
  • Ability to translate business strategy into brand narratives and creative assets tailored for business audiences.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, visual storytelling, and consistency across deliverables.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities under tight timelines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communicator and collaborator with cross-functional confidence.
  • Self-starter with the ability to balance long-term vision with immediate execution needs.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent added experience
  • Experience with data analysis and interpretation

  • Salary Range : $125,000 to $140,000 base plus a competitive bonus plan. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Fluent salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
