Spartan Capital is representing a family-owned, minority business in the structural steel industry with more than 40 years of proven success. Due to growth, our client is seeking a Structural Professional Engineer (PE) who will serve as the technical authority ensuring every component fabricated and erected meets the highest engineering, safety, and code standards.

Responsibilities

• Review, approve, and stamp structural steel shop drawings and erection plans.
• Ensure compliance with AISC standards, OSHA, building codes, and project specifications.
• Analyze connection details, load paths, member sizing, and stability.
• Perform calculations for temporary bracing, crane picks, and sequencing during erection.
• Provide engineering solutions for field modifications and unexpected conditions.
• Conduct or oversee inspections in the shop and at job sites.
• Collaborate closely with estimators, project managers, detailers, fabricators, and field supervisors.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across teams.
