Gastroenterology Physician Opportunity VA Contract Role
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterology Physician to provide services under a federal contract at a VA facility. This is a meaningful opportunity to serve veterans while working in a collaborative and mission-driven environment.
Key Qualifications :
Licensure : Must hold a current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state territory or the District of Columbia. Physicians with any history of license restrictions or disciplinary actions will not be considered.
Board Certification : Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
Certifications : Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalent is required.
Credentialing & Privileging : Must meet all VA credentialing and privileging standards per VHA Directives 1100.20 and 1100.21. No services may be provided until privileges are granted by the Medical Executive Board and Medical Center Director.
Technical Proficiency : Must demonstrate fluency in English and provide documentation of ongoing competency training and education history.
Continuing Education : Must maintain CME / CEU requirements and report hours annually for privileging and re-privileging.
VA Training Compliance : Completion of all mandatory VA training (including EHR BLS ACLS) is required. Additional training may be assigned as needed.
