Construction Safety Manager

Location : Lexington, KY

Start Date : ASAP

Employment Type : Full-Time (W2) | Direct Hire

Position Details

Salary : $80,000 – $110,000 annually (based on experience)

Schedule : Monday–Friday | 5×8s | Day Shift

Project Scope

The Construction Safety Manager will oversee and support safety operations on a large-scale construction project at the University of Kentucky Cancer Center . The role focuses on ensuring compliance with all applicable safety regulations and promoting a proactive, safety-first culture on-site.

Qualifications

BCSP certification preferred : CHST or CSP , or

Bachelor's degree in Safety or related field

Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience

Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments

Support incident investigations and implement corrective actions

Deliver safety orientations and training for employees and subcontractors

Partner with project teams to identify and mitigate potential hazards

Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and compliance records

Promote a culture of safety excellence across all project teams

Skills & Knowledge

Skills :

Strong public speaking and communication abilities

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Professional and discreet with sensitive information

Knowledge :

Thorough understanding of construction EHS standards and regulations

Ability to communicate and enforce safety principles effectively
