Our Hand & Occupational Therapy department is a strong and growing team of Certified Hand Therapists (CHTs) who deliver top-notch care for patients with complex orthopaedic injuries and conditions. What You’ll Do
As an Occupational Therapist specializing in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation, you will :
Evaluate and manage therapy patients, including identifying functional limitations and setting treatment goalsDevelop and implement individualized therapy plans of careDeliver hands-on treatments and advanced therapeutic interventionsFabricate and fit custom splints and orthosesCoordinate patient care with physicians, PTs, PTAs, and other members of the therapy teamDocument patient evaluations, progress, treatments, and outcomes in compliance with clinical standardsProvide patient and family education on injury, recovery expectations, and home exercise programsCollaborate in community education and research opportunities to advance occupational therapy practiceProvide additional coverage at FOI locations as neededAbout You
We’re looking for a dedicated and skilled OT who is passionate about hand therapy, orthopaedics, and patient rehabilitation.
Required Qualifications :
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy programCertified by NBCOT as an Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR)Licensed by the state of FloridaCurrent CPR certificationStrong splinting skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced outpatient settingCommitment to patient-centered care and teamworkPreferred Qualifications :
3 years of experience in an outpatient hand therapy setting in close collaboration with hand surgeonsCertified Hand Therapist (CHT) or actively working toward certification within the next yearWebPT or other EMR experienceAt least 6 months of focused hand therapy experienceReady to take the next step in your Occupational Therapy career?
