RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details :

• 13-week contract assignment
• Day shift from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM
• No call requirements
• Weekend schedule : 4 weekend shifts per schedule (Saturday / Sunday)
• Patient ratios of 2 : 1 and 1 : 1 depending on acuity
• Work with critically ill adult patients requiring CVRU / ECMO / critical care
• Must have experience with cardiac monitoring and rhythms
• Must have experience with titratable drips and understanding of hemodynamics
• Must have experience with respiratory patients including vents, BiPap, trachs, and airvo
• Must have experience with open heart surgery recovery
• Must have experience with ECMO, Impella, and balloon pumps
• Must have experience with CRRT / SLED procedures
• Work with advanced equipment including GE bedside monitors, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis, Centrimag ECMO Circuits, Impella CP & 5.5, Prismax CRRT machines, Tablo SLED machines, and Maquet Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Assist with procedures including central line and chest tube insertion, bronchoscopies, tracheostomies, and intubations
• Navy scrubs required
• Must be a team player with positive attitude and adaptability

Facility :

This medical center features an 8-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit located on the 4th floor, staffed with 25 dedicated critical care professionals. The unit maintains high standards with a charge nurse and 4 RNs per shift, utilizing state-of-the-art cardiac and critical care equipment. The facility specializes in complex cardiovascular procedures and critical care services, providing advanced life support technologies including ECMO, mechanical circulatory support devices, and continuous renal replacement therapy to serve the most critically ill patients in the region.
