Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele position with a focus on behavioral health patients and night shifts.

Responsibilities Work in a Med / Surg Telemetry unit within a short-term acute care hospital

Patient ratios average 1 : 5-6

Primarily cares for medical, surgical, telemetry, and behavioral health patients

Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital environment

Uses Epic for charting

Night shift position with 4x12 hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 7 : 00

Weekend shifts required every other weekend

Floating within scope to similar units is required

50-mile radius rule applies; locals not accepted

Primary responsibilities include caring for both Med / Surg Tele and behavioral health patients

Royal blue and white scrubs required

Return staff must have been gone at least one year before returning as a traveler

Two contract limit before a mandatory six-month break is required

RTO is subject to manager's discretion

Hospital has 733 staffed beds and operates as a teaching facility

Requirements Current NC or compact RN license required

Minimum of 2 years recent Med / Surg Tele experience

Behavioral health experience preferred

Epic EMR experience preferred

Must provide two professional references from supervisors within the past two years

First time travelers are accepted

Cannot have a pending license at time of consideration
