Job Description :

Utilizes advanced health assessment knowledge and decision making skills works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise.

Education Qualifications :

NP : Masters degree in nursing

PA : Bachelors degree in a health / science-related field

PRACTICE SPECIFICS :

The Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment knowledge and decision making skills while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. The NP / PA will provide health care to individuals and families emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention caring for patients ranging in age. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients co-workers and others.

This new position will join our regional team centered infusion and clinic oncology practice and will help support our current practice as well as elevate the level of services we can provide. You will add support in providing survivorship plans telemedicine and directed conversations with patients regarding chemotherapy side effects. This position will help us to expand our outreach services in Northern Wisconsin.

• Team consists of 3 physicians and adding 1 NP
• Position will be 0.6 FTE Radiation Oncology / 0.4 FTE Medical Oncology
• Typical Schedule : Monday - Friday
• No Call / No Weekends

EDUCATION :

Masters or Doctorate degree in Nursing or Bachelors or Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED :

Current licensure as a registered nurse in Wisconsin. Minnesota / Michigan license preferred. Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Wisconsin. Minnesota / Michigan license preferred. Current certification in CPR. National certification in applicable area. Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
