We are looking for a skilled Paralegal to join our team in Columbus, Ohio, on a Contract-to-Permanent basis. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting real estate and development activities, ensuring legal compliance, and managing lease-related documentation. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders while contributing to the efficient execution of key real estate transactions.
Responsibilities :
- Provide legal counsel and support for leasing, development, and asset management activities related to real estate transactions.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external parties to negotiate, finalize, and track all required legal documentation.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal real estate regulations.
- Analyze and extract critical information from lease agreements, accurately entering data into the lease database system.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including amendments and agreements, ensuring clarity and precision.
- Coordinate the approval, distribution, and execution of legal documentation while adhering to compliance standards.
- Maintain organized electronic files for lease documentation to ensure accessibility and streamlined record-keeping.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency and operational effectiveness.
- Proficiency in legal software tools such as Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and CompuLaw.
- Familiarity with real estate-specific systems like Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS).
- Strong skills in case management, billing functions, and claim administration.
- Experience in corporate real estate, including leasing and contract management.
- Excellent communication abilities for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Expertise in calendar management and briefing processes.
- Knowledge of legal procedures and documentation requirements related to real estate transactions.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage electronic files and databases effectively.
