\n\nSchedule\n

12-hour shifts, with daytime hours from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM and nighttime hours from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM. Weekend shifts will occur every other weekend, based on unit needs.

\n\nJob Description\n

The Ortho-Neuro Unit is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care for patients undergoing elective surgeries and those suffering from fractures, as well as neuro-surgeries and general medical-surgical cases. This position requires a commitment to high safety standards and effective patient management.

\n\nResponsibilities\n \n

  • Care for patients recovering from orthopedic and neurosurgical procedures.

    • \n

  • Administer medication, manage IV fluids and PCA pumps, and monitor vital signs.

    • \n

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

    • \n

  • Assist with patient mobility and daily living activities.

    • \n

  • Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC.

    • \n \n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n \n

  • Active and unexpired RN License.

    • \n

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

    • \n

  • Experience with orthopedic patients and PCA pumps is necessary.

    • \n

  • EPIC experience is essential.
