Production / Technical Assistant, Karl Lagerfeld Sportswear

Success Profile :

The Production Assistant is responsible for workflow between the Production and Technical teams, and will be involved in the production cycle from samples to final garment. This role touches every stage of the process - handling samples, supporting fittings and keeping communication flowing across internal partners and global vendors.

Reporting to : Production Manager

Brand / Product Focus : Karl Lagerfeld Sportswear & Outerwear

Location (On-Site) : New York City, Midtown Manhattan - Fashion District

Key Accountabilities :

• Sample Management

Open incoming sample boxes, unpack and organize samples,and create style lists for tracking

Print and review tech packs for each style, checking samples against materials, trims and details

Measure samples and accurately record measurements in the tech pack spec sheet

Steam, hang or fold samples neatly, ensuring each sample is paired with its tech pack before fittings

Attend fittings, take care notes on fit comments directly in the tech pack, and photograph garments on fit models for reference

Send fit comments and measurement updates to vendors and respond promptly to vendor questions and clarifications.

Monitor delivery dates and sample schedules to ensure timely fittings and approvals

Work closely with the Production Manager and Technical Designers to maintain smooth workflow across teams

Education & Experience :

The pay range for this position is : $24.03 per hour / $50,000 per year (Annualized salary is based on a 40 hour work week)
