Overview
The Residential Director will provide leadership in all aspects of the Residential Program and other duties listed below. The position of Residential Director will promote person-centered services and strive to achieve the mission of the Benedictine Programs and Services. The Residential Director will operate in an ethical manner that focuses on balancing rights and personal growth with the health, safety and well-being of the individuals that we support.
Schedule
Shifts : Primarily Monday–Friday, with some evenings, weekends, and on-call responsibilities as required.
Pay
Exempt — $65,000-$85,000 annually
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, supervision, and professional development for Residential Scheduler, Weekend On-Call Coordinator, Group Home Managers, Administrative Assistant, and Personal Supports Manager.
- Support hiring, training, and retention of staff in partnership with Human Resources.
- Ensure Residential staff are current with required trainings.
- Promote a culture of person-centered residential services and compliance with CMS Community Living Rule.
- Participate in Admissions Committee meetings, review admission packets, and coordinate trial visits.
- Collaborate with Program Director and leadership to expand residential programs and revise policies / procedures as needed.
- Act as a liaison with DDA, families, and other agencies in support of individuals and Group Home Managers.
- Facilitate Residential Team staff meetings and bi-weekly Managers meetings.
- Oversee household and environmental inspections, vehicle maintenance, and follow-up to ensure safety and compliance.
- Assist with incident report follow-up, licensing, and certification activities.
- Serve as secondary on-call, creating on-call schedules for managers.
Additional Duties
Participate on standing committees, board committees, and external professional groups as requested.Attend required meetings, trainings, and maintain job-specific certifications.Cooperate with internal and external inspections and investigations.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory / management experience.Experience with employment opportunities and / or individualized community-based services for individuals with developmental disabilities.Proficiency with Therap or similar electronic records systems.Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Must be results-oriented with a track record of achieving goals within time and budget constraints.Must be at least 18 years old, eligible to work in the U.S., and pass pre-employment drug screen, CPS, and CJIS background checks.Valid driver's license and insurability under Benedictine's policy (if applicable).Commitment to Benedictine's mission and ethical standards.Physical Requirements
