Job description

Purpose of the Job : The Senior Product Manager is responsible for driving the strategic direction, performance optimization, and long-term growth of our product portfolio. This role ensures disciplined portfolio management through pricing strategy, SKU optimization, innovation pipeline leadership, and customer collaboration. Acting as the strategic hub for product decisions, this leader will work cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Business Development, Finance, and Operations to deliver profitable growth and category leadership.

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties :

  • Define optimal product portfolio by balancing core vs. innovation while aligning with consumer trends and commercial priorities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the product management team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and accountability
  • Partner with Sales and Business Development to mobilize and execute portfolio strategies in market
  • Conduct regular product portfolio performance reviews (revenue, margin, velocity, volume) and recommend actions for optimization
  • Monitor trends, categories, and competitors to identify white space opportunities
  • Translate insights into actionable opportunity areas for innovation
  • Evaluate new product ideas using structured, data-driven frameworks
  • Ownership of the cross-functional new product pipeline evaluation process ensuring projects align with both strategic objectives and resource capacity
  • Other duties as assigned

Education :

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field
  • Experience :

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in CPG marketing or product management (7 years in absence of a degree)
  • Minimum 2 years of people leadership experience including managing, mentoring, and developing employees
  • Strong background in data driven decision making and using analytics to inform product strategies

  • Working Hours : General office hours, typically 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM with flexibility for business and personal needs.
  • Tools and Equipment : Computer, tablet, e-mail, phone, and other standard office equipment.
  • Physical Demands : Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs on occasion; digital dexterity and hand / eye to operate equipment such as computer keyboard, calculator, and standard office equipment. Ability to effectively communicate with customers, supplier, or employees remotely and in person. Ability to travel by airplane or automobile.
  • Travel : Travel by airplane or automobile to attend trade shows, focus groups, and sales meetings. Approximate travel is 3-5 days per quarter.
  • Working Environment : Work usually performed in an office setting and distribution center with noise level typical of most office environments with telephones, personal interruptions, and background noise.
