Job Summary and Responsibilities

• Patient Care :
• Diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
• Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.
• Communication :

• Diagnostic Procedures :
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging.
• Perform procedures as needed
• Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation.
• Team Collaboration :
• Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
• Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers.
• Quality Improvement :
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.

Creighton University - CHI Health Chief of Colorectal Surgery

Creighton University Medical Center and CHI Health seek to recruit a visionary leader to serve as the Chief of Colorectal Surgery and expand our clinical, research, and educational activities within our Department of Surgery and its Division of Colorectal Surgery.

The incumbent leader will j oin an established high volume group encompassing a wide breadth of colorectal surgical cases in the setting of a large established referral base within the Department of Surgery, Primary Care, and growing GI services within a large integrated health care system. The opportunity is ripe for a visionary leader to grow colorectal surgery in all of its domains in partnership with outstanding colleagues and forward-thinking and dynamic academic and business leadership. These clinical, academic, and educational domains include rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, pelvic health, colorectal surgery quality just to name a few.

At Creighton University Medical Center and CHI Health, our Department of surgery is one of the nations highest quality, award-winning programs. The program is part of our integrated, multispecialty system, working with every member in subspecialty surgery, committed to the highest outcome of every procedure we perform. In addition, our program is further augmented by our many other resources associated with our academic institution including our institute of population health and the nations only resident healthcare leadership program. Also, the Division of colorectal is an active participant in the Colon and Rectum fellowship.

Resident activity with the department of surgery is highly engaging at our academic flagship University Medical Center and Level I Trauma Center.

Candidates are expected to have a fellowship in colorectal surgery and a track record of scholarly and educational activities at the level of Associate to Professor at Creighton University School of Medicine.

Pay Range

$240.00 - $290.00 / hour
